Gibney is an Assistant Coach for her alma mater, Colgate University. After graduating in 2015 from Colgate, she was brought onto the staff the follow January. In her Assistant Coaching role, Jenna is responsible for day-to-day operations, game-day operations, recruiting, film editing and review, and training preparation. She takes special interest in honing technical skills and garnering tactical prowess, especially with the Raider defense. She helped Colgate players to NSCAA All-Region and ECAC All-Star nods, Patriot League Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards, as well two first team, one-second team and two third team All-League laurels.
Gibney was a four-time member of the Colgate University Women’s Soccer program from 2011-2015. During her time at Colgate, she helped her team to two regular season championships in 2011 and 2014, a Patriot League Championship in 2012, and a contentious first-round home-appearance in the NCAA Tournament against Rutgers University in 2012. In her tenure at Colgate University, Gibney was selected to the Patriot League All-Tournament Team in 2012 and earned the team's Spence Colwell ’41 Team Spirit Award. She was a key player in the defense and midfield for the Raiders. Throughout her four years in Hamilton, NY, Gibney attended various Odyssey events and frequently aided with training sessions.
Before her years at Colgate, Jenna was a four-year member of the girl's varsity soccer team at DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, NJ. Jenna was part of the U17 United States Women’s National Team Pool, which was in a U17 FIFA World Cup cycle year. TopDrawer Soccer named Gibney a Top-100 recruit for the class of 2011 and a 4-Star Player. Jenna was an active member of the New Jersey ODP State Team from 2007-2011, as well as a four-time member of the Region 1 ODP Team. While playing with the Region 1 ODP team, Jenna was awarded “Best Midfielder” at the international event, ‘Kuban Springs’, held in Sochi, Russia in 2010. In addition to participating in the Olympic Development Program, Jenna was the captain of her Montclair United Thunderbolts club team from 2004-2012.
